About Anders Ibsen

Anders Ibsen

Author

Anders Ibsen will make his debut in 2025 as the author of the thriller series SIRIUS, published by Lindhardt & Ringhof. The first instalment is titled Det som overfalder dig. The book received an enthusiastic reception and went straight onto the bestseller lists, praised for its innovative, gripping and insightful story about geopolitics, terrorism and survival.

Anders Ibsen knows his subject matter intimately, as he – like the series’ main character David – spent four years in the harsh wilderness of Northeast Greenland, far from human settlement, in a daily struggle with the unpredictability of nature.

He served as an officer in the Danish Armed Forces with the Sirius Dog Sled Patrol, where 12 men year-round uphold Denmark’s sovereignty, as a guard at the decommissioned military airfield in Mestersvig, and on several kayak and dog sled expeditions in Northeast Greenland.

As the son of a former special forces soldier and UN observer, Anders Ibsen travelled with his family to some of the world’s hotspots, including Israel, Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, before himself being deployed by the UN to the former Yugoslavia at the age of 21. In total, he spent ten years in the Danish Armed Forces.

Over the past 20 years, Anders Ibsen has built a career in corporate leadership development, first within the Nordea Group and today as COO and co-owner of a global consultancy firm.

He holds a Master’s degree from Aalborg University in Organisational Leadership and Coaching and has been an external lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam since 2015.

Privately, Anders Ibsen lives in Copenhagen and on the island of Lolland with his wife, Vibeke Hartkorn. Together they own consultancy firms delivering communication strategy, relational training and leadership development.
