If the cool November temperatures aren't cold enough, you can take a trip to Northeast Greenland. At least for a short, mental moment. Anders Ibsen, a former officer in the Sirius patrol, makes his debut as an author with the suspense novel "Sirius - Det, som overfalder dig" and Invites You into a world of geopolitics, terror and survival in a harsh Arctic.

Bogforum is big. Very big. And attracts all kinds of people.

I don't get to read all the books I want to. Or should. The other day, however, I read the brand new suspense novel "SIRIUS: Det, som overfalder dig" as a prelude to an interview with the author Anders Ibsen from Falster, now living on Lolland. It was a good experience to immerse myself in a real book for a whole day and put the screens away for a while.

Anders Ibsen is a former officer in the Sled Patrol Sirius, Denmark's Arctic special operations force in Northeast Greenland. With his new suspense novel 'SIRIUS – Det som overfalder dig' he provides an insight into the world in which the Sled Patrol live.

“He crawls through a snowstorm, is about to fall through a glacier, gets buried in an avalanche, and falls through the ice,” Anders says about the novel's protagonist.

Anders Ibsen has spent four years with the Sled Patrol Sirius in one of the most desolate places in the world. It was minus 40 degrees and it was about survival. A mysterious lead mine in Greenland aroused his curiosity, and now he has written a not "unrealistic" thriller that will test the Danish defense.
